Meet the Staff within GTES

 

Doug Croucher - Manager

Bill Standing - Support Worker

   

Doug started his working career in the trade and construction industry, before finding employment in the care sector some 15 years ago. His hobbies include landscaping, gardening and letting the dog take him for walks. Qualifications include: Shipbuilding and Marine Engineering, Motor Vehicle Mechanics and for his sins he also holds a Degree and Dipolma in Social Work.

 

Bill brought a wealth of experience to GTES and currently leads our arboriculture service, he also works on hard landscaping and construction. Bill's interests include keeping fit and contact sports. When not doing this, he is usually the one telling bad jokes at parties or in clubs. Bill holds a Degree in Environmental Conservation and Land Management.

 

Louise Slater - Administrator

Alan Carter - Relief Support

   

Louise joined the Green Tracks team in June 2007 and brought with her a wealth of experience including office administration. Louise previous employment includes over 6 years as an accounts manager with a large commercial supplier to the trades sector and she has been responsible for streamlining GTES’ internal operations to provide a more efficient service to customers.

 

Alan is the newest member of staff to join GTES, and is currently developing 5 acres of Aberdeen's Middlefield area, which is to become the community garden. Alan's passion is environmental and he also co-ordinates the local Friends of the Earth branch. Alan can usually be found in woodlands planting trees and shrubs and holds a Degree in Forestry.

 

Alan Gordon - Storeperson/Driver

Gavin Hawick - Finance Administrator

   

Alan was previously employed by a national retail firm in Aberdeen before joining the GTES work scheme, and now looks after our stores department. He is officially known as the No1 beatles fan (within GTES) and has a passion for joinery and wood carving. Alan is also known to have provided homes for many of our feathered friends and helps out with various constructions.

 

Gavin is responsible for our accounts department and has helped to develop and oversee our invoicing and accounts. Gavin has been with GTES for a number of years and progressed from our work experience programme. He is an extremely capable and competent individual who holds an MSC in Information Technology and a BA (Hons) in Business Studies.

 

Wayne Anderson - P/T Field Worker

 
   

Wayne is another person to graduate from the GTES work experience programme into P/T employment, and brings with him a commitment and drive to further his career in the horticultural and conservation sectors. Wayne is employed to assist in the delivery of customer contracts in both the public and private sectors.

 

 

These are the people you will usually speak to over the phone or meet in person at our premises. This does not include the main driving force behind Green Tracks, which is the people on work experience and volunteer placements.. They are the people who make the garden designs, construction and landscaping projects happen and therefore more than deserve a mention.
